Compañia Kaari Martin´s internationally most acknowledged work so far is Tell me rain. It is built around Roni Martin´s poems and compositions and tells a story about human nature, dependence and regeneration. Intensive relation between music and movement is strongly present. Two of work´s seven episodes were awarded in world-famous choreography contest, Certamen de Coreografia de Danza Española y Flamenco in Madrid in 2006. Kaari Martin is the first non-Spanish choreographer who got the prize in the contest´s 15-year history.

Kaari Martin showed that she´s constantly renewing and ambitious artist, who isn´t afraid to open new doors (indeed, this was what the fully packed house was breathlessly waiting from her)
"The singer Rafael Jiménez "Falo" is sovereign in his adaptations on Roni Martin´s poems translated in spanish. Especially impressive were Sanna Salmenkallio on violin, Edin Bahtijaragi on accordion and Pablo Suárez on piano."
(Tell me rain, Anni Valtonen, Helsingin Sanomat 18.2.2006)
"The music was excellent and rarely I have seen such a charming contact between the musicians and the dancers. I feel, that the way the piece was performed in Tampere, it had everything essential and necessary on stage"
"It´s no wonder that the group was chosen as the only nordic group to the Certamen de Coreografia de Danza Española y Flamenco -competition in Spain. And it´s no wonder that the group reached the third price."
"The part with the slim black fringe skirts was constructed extremely well and it was underlined by the music, rich in nuances and full of suprises, composed on the original flamenco rhythms. Thrilling and tight. The movements of the dance were building the tension to the top, restrained the excitement for one suppressing moment, untill it frayed with enjoyment and flexibility. Stylish and dangerous like a combination of James Bond and Alfred Hitchcock!"
(Cuéntame Lluvia/Tell me rain, Merja Koskiniemi, Aamulehti 29.7.2006)
"The performance was a brilliant and extremely enjoyable dance piece, especially when the expression was near the traditional flamenco. The dance and Richard Kautto´s digital projections built a good and working whole, best moments were where the dance formed kind of performing element to the more abstract paintings. The moment when Kaari Martin literally touched the painting as she was dancing was simply breathtaking."
"Choreographer Kaari Martin is in the very top of the new flamenco artists in the nordic countries. The best known of her groups pieces is La Kalevala. In her dance she combines the flamenco technique to the freedom of contemporary dance. Tell me rain combines different dance styles and art forms. The piece is built around Roni Martin´s poems and compositions that are supported by Kautto´s paintings. The starting-points of the piece are very ambitious and interesting. Tell me rain is divided in seven episodes about love."
(Cuéntame Lluvia/Tell me rain, Marjaterttu Harri, Lapin Kansa 27.2.2006)
