Shock-Headed Peter

Shock-headed Peter is a picture book classic by Heinrich Hoffmann. In its anarchistic little stories disobedient children do forbidden things to their parent´s horror.

For artists Shock-headed Peter has always been a source of inspiration and so far it has been made into a slang version, musical and lied series, to name a few. In 2004, Compañia Kaari Martin debuted a flamenco production of Shock-headed Peter at Helsinki Festival.

The characters of the book is performed by four dancers and four musicians. An audience gets a chance to try different styles and rhythms of flamenco.
